On 17 July 2026 the Yodel name disappeared. Its home-delivery network, app and Yodel Direct sending service now operate under InPost, which bought Yodel in April 2025. Here's what changes for Vinted, eBay and Depop sellers.
InPost completed its takeover of Yodel in April 2025 and, after a phased migration that began in June 2026, switched the Yodel brand off on 17 July 2026. The yodel.co.uk website and the Yodel app have been retired; parcels are now tracked, booked and collected through the InPost app and website.
What has changed
- Yodel Direct is now InPost Direct. The consumer sending service at yodeldirect.co.uk redirects to inpostdirect.co.uk. Shop-to-shop and shop-to-door parcels are limited to 10 kg and 60 × 50 × 50 cm; door-to-door (home collection) allows 15 kg and 120 × 50 × 50 cm; locker-to-door uses the standard locker limit of 15 kg and 41 × 38 × 64 cm.
- Yodel drop-off shops became InPost Shops. Your nearest former Yodel store now scans InPost QR codes and prints a temporary label for you.
- eBay no longer offers Yodel. Simple Delivery uses Evri, Royal Mail, InPost and DHL. Heavy parcels over 15 kg go via Royal Mail (up to 20 kg) or DHL home collection (up to 30 kg).
- The old 30 kg Yodel limit is gone. Nothing in the InPost network accepts more than 15 kg.
What has not changed
- Yodel was never a Vinted or Depop carrier, so those platforms are unaffected.
- Home deliveries continue: InPost now delivers to the door as well as to lockers, using the former Yodel driver network.
- Some retailer checkouts and tracking emails may still say "Yodel" for a while as systems are updated.
What sellers should do
- Delete the Yodel app and use the InPost app for tracking and locker availability.
- If you used Yodel Direct for heavy items, re-check the new 10 kg / 15 kg limits before booking.
- Update any listing text or shipping profiles that still mention Yodel.
