InPost's UK locker network has grown past 16,000 machines, and a new deal with Asda will put lockers at up to 700 supermarkets. More lockers means more Large compartments near you — and fewer wasted trips.
InPost and Asda announced on 22 September 2026 that InPost lockers will be installed at up to 700 Asda stores across the UK. InPost's own figures put its network at more than 16,000 lockers, after passing the 15,000 mark in June 2026 and adding roughly 5,000 machines during the year.
What this means for sellers
- More Large compartments. Supermarket-site lockers tend to be the bigger units with plenty of Large (41 cm deep) slots, which are the ones that run out first in town centres.
- Longer access hours. Lockers in car parks are usually accessible 24/7, unlike lockers inside smaller shops that close with the store.
- Fewer InPost Shops. InPost has been shifting volume from staffed InPost Shops (4,145 at June 2026, down 29% year on year) to lockers, so check the InPost app rather than assuming your usual shop still takes parcels.
Nothing else changes
The 15 kg weight limit, the 41 × 38 × 64 cm maximum parcel size and the prohibited items list (no batteries, liquids or aerosols) all still apply at every locker. Use the InPost app to check live compartment availability before you travel.
