Latest Shipping Rule Changes

Royal Mail raised parcel, Tracked, Special Delivery and Parcel Collect prices on 5 October 2026, its second increase of the year. Stamps for letters and Large Letters did not change. Here are the new online prices, the counter prices, and what to change if you set your own postage on Depop, Etsy or Amazon.

InPost's UK locker network has grown past 16,000 machines, and a new deal with Asda will put lockers at up to 700 supermarkets. More supermarket lockers means more Large compartments near you, longer access hours and fewer wasted trips.

eBay UK's Simple Delivery now prices postage in five item-value bands. A small parcel up to 1 kg costs the buyer £2.94 for items under £75, rising to £6.84 for items between £375 and £750, and choosing 'Royal Mail only' in your postage preferences costs far more.

On 17 July 2026 the Yodel name disappeared. Its home-delivery network, app and Yodel Direct sending service now operate under InPost, which bought Yodel in April 2025. The 30 kg Yodel limit has gone with it: nothing in the InPost network takes more than 15 kg.

Vinted's Australian marketplace opened in June 2026 with a cross-border corridor that lets UK sellers ship to Australian buyers via InPost, for items under 2 kg and £110. You drop the parcel at a UK InPost locker as usual; Vinted handles the label and the customs paperwork.

Evri has started installing its own-brand lockers, beginning with East of England Co-op stores, on top of 9,000-plus ParcelShops. Evri lockers accept parcels up to 62 × 57 × 39 cm and 15 kg, print the label for you at the terminal, and give Evri users a 24/7 option for the first time since InPost lockers stopped taking Evri parcels.

Four 2025 changes that were once separate posts, brought together with what has happened since: the Evri and DHL eCommerce UK merger, the InPost locker trial at Post Office branches, Evri's summer 2025 promotion and Royal Mail's April 2025 price rise. Two still shape how you send; two have been overtaken.

Simple Delivery became mandatory for new private-seller listings in April 2025. From 26 December 2025 eBay also migrated live listings that still used custom postage, so almost every private seller now ships through eBay's own labels, with eBay setting the price the buyer pays.

eBay added InPost to Simple Delivery in November 2025. Sellers can drop parcels at any InPost locker or InPost Shop with a QR code and a six-digit code, and buyers can choose to collect from a locker at a lower Click & Collect price.

Vinted expanded its Royal Mail partnership in August 2025: buyers can collect purchases from around 8,000 Collect+ shops and 2,000 Royal Mail lockers, and sellers drop Royal Mail parcels at the same locations using a QR code, with no printer and no postbox.

From 1 March 2025 InPost lockers no longer accept Evri parcels. The two networks are fully separate again: Evri parcels go to an Evri ParcelShop or Evri locker, and InPost lockers take InPost parcels only. It remains the most common wrong-locker mistake on Vinted and Depop.

Depop updated its terms on 24 February 2025 so that orders not shipped within the dispatch window are cancelled automatically, instead of waiting for the buyer to ask. Post promptly, mark the order as shipped, and pause your shop when you are away.
