Vinted UK Shipping Guide
The UK's most popular second-hand fashion marketplace. Vinted generates a prepaid label after every sale, the buyer pays the postage, and the buyer picks the carrier at checkout from InPost, Evri, Royal Mail, DPD, Relay, AnyVan and DHL Express.

How shipping works on Vinted
Vinted handles postage for you. When an item sells, the buyer has already chosen a carrier and paid for delivery, and Vinted puts a label in your app and inbox: a QR code for every carrier, plus a printable PDF for InPost and Evri if you would rather attach it yourself. You have five working days to get the parcel scanned by the carrier; if you cannot make it, request a three- or five-day extension in the app and the buyer decides whether to allow it.
Which carriers a buyer sees depends on the item's size category, where they live and what you have enabled in Settings → Shipping. InPost lockers (15 kg, 41 × 38 × 64 cm) are the default for small clothing; Evri ParcelShops take parcels up to 15 kg and 120 cm long (Evri lockers are smaller, 62 × 57 × 39 cm); Royal Mail is now QR-only and accepts up to 20 kg in its 'heavy' tier. DPD, Relay and AnyVan appear in some regions, and DHL Express handles the UK-to-Australia corridor that opened in 2026.
Two rules trip sellers up. First, the label must be Vinted's: a parcel sent with your own postage is not covered and the order can be cancelled. Second, the size category you pick when listing drives the postage price and the compartment or format the label is issued for, so an oversized parcel can be refused or surcharged at drop-off, and you cannot change the carrier after checkout. Vinted's own protection covers integrated-label orders up to £500, which matters because InPost only covers second-hand items up to £50.
Key Things to Know
- The buyer chooses the carrier at checkout and pays the postage. You cannot switch carrier after the sale, but you can turn carriers on or off in Settings → Shipping
- InPost: QR code (or printable label) for any InPost locker or InPost Shop, and the cheapest option for most clothing
- Evri: QR code or printable label, dropped at an Evri ParcelShop or Evri locker
- Royal Mail on Vinted is now QR-code only: show it at a Post Office, Collect+ shop, Royal Mail locker or customer service point, and do not use a postbox
- DPD, Relay, AnyVan (large items) and DHL Express are offered in some regions; Yodel was never a Vinted carrier and the brand closed in July 2026
- Ship within 5 working days of the sale or the order is cancelled automatically. You can request a 3- or 5-day extension, which the buyer must approve
- Always use the Vinted label: parcels sent with your own postage are not covered and the order can be cancelled
