    Locker Size Checker

Don't waste a trip. Select your item type or enter your parcel dimensions below to see if it will fit in a courier locker, and which size you need.

InPost locker sizes (2026): Small (A) = 38×64×8 cm deep (t-shirts, accessories, flat items). Medium (B) = 38×64×19 cm deep (jeans, folded jumpers, shoes without the box). Large (C) = 38×64×41 cm deep (coats, shoe boxes, bundles). Every size takes up to 15 kg (InPost lowered this from 25 kg). Depth is almost always the limiting dimension, so measure it first. Evri lockers take up to 62×57×39 cm and Royal Mail lockers have 34×61×58 cm and 42×43×66 cm compartments.

    Understanding InPost Locker Sizes

InPost lockers come in three sizes: Small (A), Medium (B), and Large (C), all 38 cm wide and 64 cm high and all limited to 15 kg. The key dimension is the depth; this is where most parcels fail to fit. When you send a Vinted or eBay parcel you choose the compartment size on the locker screen, so measure the packed depth before you go.

Small compartments are only 8 cm deep, which is fine for single t-shirts, slim books or accessories. Medium compartments at 19 cm deep handle most folded clothing, jeans and shoes without boxes. Large compartments at 41 cm deep take coats, shoe boxes and bundles. Since 2026 Evri has lockers too (up to 62 × 57 × 39 cm) and Royal Mail's lockers accept Tracked and 1st/2nd Class parcels; both are useful when your parcel is too deep for an InPost Large.

Tip: always use a mailing bag instead of a box when possible, because it lets soft items compress to fit a smaller locker.

What if my parcel is too big for any locker?

If your parcel exceeds 41 × 38 × 64 cm or 15 kg it cannot go through InPost at all. Evri lockers take up to 62 × 57 × 39 cm, Evri ParcelShops accept parcels up to 120 cm long and 15 kg, and Royal Mail's Medium Parcel format goes to 61 × 46 × 46 cm and 20 kg. See our guide on what to do when your parcel is too big for an InPost locker.

Can I check locker availability before going?

Yes. The InPost app shows how many Small, Medium and Large compartments are free at each locker in real time, and the Evri app shows its lockers and ParcelShops. Lockers are emptied at least daily, so a full locker in the evening is usually clear by mid-morning.

Does the locker size affect the price?

When you send direct, InPost prices by compartment: £1.99 Small, £2.59 Medium, £3.99 Large to another locker or shop, or £2.89, £3.99 and £5.99 to a home address. On Vinted the price depends on the size tier you listed under, and on eBay Simple Delivery on parcel size and item value. The buyer pays in both cases, but packing flat still matters because it decides which compartment will take the parcel.

Is the InPost weight limit really 15 kg?

Yes. InPost's own size page and prohibited items page both state a 15 kg maximum for every compartment and for InPost Shops, and the same limit applies to door-to-door collection through InPost Direct (the former Yodel service). The 25 kg figure still quoted on many older websites is out of date.
