InPost Locker Sizes for Vinted Sellers

Most failed InPost drop-offs on Vinted come down to one number: the depth of the packed parcel. The three compartment sizes share the same width and height and differ only in how deep they are, so a coat that 'looks small' can still fail at the door. This guide sets out the exact dimensions, what fits in each size from the parcels we send every week, how Vinted's size tiers interact with the compartment you choose at the locker, and what each option costs.

Can You Drop Off Evri Parcels at InPost Lockers?

This is the wasted trip we hear about most. For a while Evri parcels could go into selected InPost lockers, and the forum posts and screenshots from that period are still online, so sellers new to Vinted or Depop set off for the nearest InPost locker with an Evri code. The answer has been no since 1 March 2025. This guide explains what changed, what happens at the screen if you try, where Evri parcels go instead and how to check the courier before you leave the house.

What to Do When Your Parcel Is Too Big for an InPost Locker

You scanned the code, the door opened, and the parcel will not go in. It happens to everyone who sends enough parcels, and it is almost always a depth problem rather than a weight or width problem. This guide covers what to do at the screen, the three repacking changes that lose the most depth, when to look for a Large compartment instead, what to do if the parcel is over InPost's limits altogether, and how to stop it happening next time.

InPost QR Code Won't Scan? How to Fix It

You are standing at the locker with the parcel and the scanner under the screen will not read the code on your phone. Nine times out of ten it is the phone, not the locker, and the fix takes seconds. This guide works through the fixes in the order that solves most cases, explains how to type the code instead, and covers the rare occasions when the scanner or the code itself is at fault.

Depop + Evri: Printed Label or QR Code?

Depop used to leave sellers to arrange their own postage, which is why so many old guides say you need to buy an Evri label yourself and print it. That changed with Depop Shipping: for UK sales Depop generates an Evri label for you, and you can choose between a QR code and a printable version. This guide explains how the label is issued, how the QR code works at a ParcelShop or Evri locker, when the printed version is the better choice, how the 'Other' option differs, and what each route costs.

InPost vs Evri for Vinted: Which Is Better?

InPost and Evri are the two carriers most Vinted buyers choose, and most sellers have a strong preference for one of them. They are both cheap and both work from a QR code, but they differ in what they will take, where you drop off, when the tracking starts and what happens if the parcel is lost. This comparison uses the couriers' own limits and prices so you can decide which carriers to leave enabled and how to pack for each.

Six rules that catch UK resellers out

Checked against the couriers' and marketplaces' own pages on .

    • InPost lockers take parcels up to 15 kg and 41 × 38 × 64 cm. Compartments are Small (8 cm deep), Medium (19 cm) and Large (41 cm), and depth is the usual reason a door will not close. Sending direct starts at £1.99 locker to locker.
    • Vinted buyers choose the carrier at checkout from InPost, Evri, Royal Mail, DPD, Relay, AnyVan and DHL Express, and you must ship with the Vinted label within five working days.
    • Royal Mail on Vinted is QR code only. Show it at a Post Office, Collect+ shop or Royal Mail locker, never a postbox. On eBay Simple Delivery and Etsy you can choose a QR code or a printed label.
    • Evri and InPost are separate networks. InPost lockers stopped accepting Evri parcels in March 2025, and Evri now runs its own lockers (max 62 × 57 × 39 cm) alongside 9,000-plus ParcelShops.
    • InPost will not carry batteries, liquids or aerosols, which rules out phones, vapes and perfume, and it covers second-hand items only up to £50.
    • Royal Mail's online prices rose on 5 October 2026. Tracked 48 Small Parcel is now £3.75, 2nd Class Small Parcel £4.40 and Parcel Collect 50p a parcel; letter and Large Letter stamps did not change.

    Questions sellers ask most

Each one has its own guide.

    Short answers

Can I use Evri at an InPost locker?

No. Evri and InPost are separate networks, and since 1 March 2025 InPost lockers no longer accept Evri parcels at all (an earlier partnership allowed it for a while, which is why old forum posts still say you can). An Evri QR code will simply be rejected on the locker screen. Evri parcels go to an Evri ParcelShop (more than 9,000 of them in convenience stores, supermarkets and petrol stations) or to one of Evri's own lockers, which it began installing in 2026. InPost lockers and InPost Shops take InPost parcels only. Check the courier name on the label in your Vinted, eBay or Depop app before you leave, and use that courier's own app to find a drop-off point.

Can I use InPost for Depop orders in the UK?

Not through Depop itself. Depop Shipping, the label service built into the app, is Evri-only in the UK: after a sale you get an Evri QR code by email (or a printable label) and tracking is added to the order automatically. If you specifically want to use an InPost locker, choose the 'Other' shipping option, buy an InPost label directly from inpost.co.uk (from £1.99 for a Small parcel to another locker or shop), drop it off, and paste the InPost tracking number into the Depop order. You cannot edit the tracking number once entered, so copy it carefully. For most Depop sellers Evri is simpler because it needs no extra step.

Can I use InPost with eBay Simple Delivery in the UK?

Yes. InPost has been part of eBay's Simple Delivery programme since November 2025. When a buyer's order is assigned to InPost, eBay gives you a QR code and a six-digit code (there is no printable InPost label) which you scan or type at any InPost locker or InPost Shop. Tracking is uploaded to eBay automatically. The usual InPost limits apply: 15 kg, a maximum of 41 × 38 × 64 cm, and nothing containing batteries, liquids or aerosols. Buyers can also choose to collect from an InPost locker. Postage prices are set by eBay and paid by the buyer; since 1 September 2026 a small parcel up to 1 kg starts at £2.94 for items under £75.

Which couriers are available on Vinted UK?

Vinted UK currently lists seven carriers: InPost, Evri, Royal Mail, DPD, Relay, AnyVan (for large items) and DHL Express, although DPD, Relay and AnyVan only appear in some regions. The buyer picks the carrier at checkout and pays the postage; you cannot change it afterwards, but you can switch individual carriers on or off in Settings → Shipping. InPost and Evri give you a QR code (or a printable label if you prefer), and Royal Mail is now QR-code only: you show it at a Post Office, Collect+ shop or Royal Mail locker and the label is printed for you. You must ship with the Vinted label within five working days or the order is cancelled.

    Who writes LockerRules

    Omair Sao · Software developer

LockerRules is built and run by Omair Sao, a software developer, with a small group of friends who sell on Vinted, eBay and Depop. It started in March 2026 after a run of wasted trips: an Evri parcel taken to an InPost locker, a coat that would not fit a Medium compartment, a Royal Mail label that turned out to be QR code only. None of the answers were in one place, so we built the place.

Every size, weight limit, price and label rule on the site is checked against the courier's or marketplace's own published page and dated, and corrections are recorded on the About page. The same person runs IncomeFix, the UK tax and benefits calculator site, under the same name. Read how the site is researched and funded.
