Which Courier Should I Use for Heavy or Large Items?
For parcels up to 15 kg that fit in a locker: InPost is usually cheapest, at £1.99 to £3.99 to another locker when you send direct. The Large (C) compartment (41 × 38 × 64 cm) handles most coats, boots and bundles. Measure the packed depth; that is what decides whether the door closes.
For parcels up to 15 kg that are too long or wide for a locker: Evri accepts up to 120 cm on the longest side (245 cm combined) at ParcelShops, lockers and home collection, and is usually the cheapest option between 2 and 15 kg.
For heavy items over 15 kg: Royal Mail's Medium Parcel takes up to 20 kg (£13.70 by 2nd Class online since 5 October 2026), and on eBay Simple Delivery DHL home collection takes up to 30 kg. Yodel's 30 kg service no longer exists; the network became InPost in July 2026 with a 15 kg limit.
