The merger of Evri and DHL's UK parcel business completed on 1 October 2025. Day-to-day sending is unchanged for now, but a premium 'Evri Premium – a network of DHL' service is being introduced during 2026.
Evri's merger with DHL eCommerce UK, cleared unconditionally by the Competition and Markets Authority on 4 September 2025, completed on 1 October 2025. The combined business trades as Evri Group; Evri itself keeps its name.
What changes for sellers
- Nothing immediately. ParcelShop and locker drop-offs, QR codes, the 15 kg limit and the £20 standard compensation are all unchanged.
- A premium network is coming. DHL eCommerce UK is being rebranded as "Evri Premium – a network of DHL" during 2026, aimed at retailers rather than marketplace sellers.
- More capacity in peak season. The enlarged network should mean fewer delays in the run-up to Christmas, historically Evri's weakest period.
Why it matters
Evri remains the go-to courier for parcels that will not fit an InPost locker, and it is the only courier available through Depop Shipping. A larger, better-funded network is good news for reliability, which has been the main reason some buyers still prefer Royal Mail.
